A Missouri Lottery player won a $50,000 prize on a “500X” Scratchers ticket purchased at Prenger Foods, 409 N. State Route B in Hallsville, after uncovering a “500X” multiplier symbol.

“I started scratching and saw the ‘500X’ symbol and I said to my brother, ‘See? It’s worth at least $500!’ the winner shared. “I scratched off the prize and saw $100.”

That symbol immediately multiplied his prize by 500 times, turning the $100 prize into $50,000.

“I asked my brother, ‘What’s 500 times 100?’ He said ‘$50,000.’ I said ‘That’s what I won!’ and he was like, ‘No way!’” the winner laughed.

When asked how he planned to spend his winnings, he shared, “I haven’t figured it out yet.”

To date, players have won more than $200.4 million in prizes in the “500X” Scratchers game, with more than $57.2 million in prizes yet to be claimed – including 12 additional prizes of $50,000 and one $5 million top prize.

In FY25, Boone County players won more than $25.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $2.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $52 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
